Madonna students and staff honored Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at the MLK Poetry Writing event on Monday, January 19, in the southwest corner of the Take 5 Lounge. The influence of Martin Luther King, who bravely led the fight for civil rights in the 1950s and '60s, still resonates generations later. Participants wrote about diversity, unity, peace, courage, friendship, and other topics they care about. All their work is suffused with sincerity and heart.
